The Day Center for Greek Muslims in the region of Athens operates since 2001 by the NGO KLIMAKA and is supported by the Ministry of Health.

It offers specialised prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services to members of the Greek Muslim minority community who live in Athens (approximately 2000 families).

They offer services to:

- persons that have been hospitalised in psychiatric clinics and need to be followed and reexamined

- persons who suffer from mental disorders but can be treated outside the hospital with the support of the community

- persons that are mentally retarded or suffer from similar conditions and need to be supported, as well as their families

- persons and families with multiple social problems whose members may develop mental disorders due to psychosocial parameters.

The community is also targeted with the aim to address practices that may contribute to the reproducing of social exclusion.
